1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Open Fishing Cup, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. You must be at least 16 years old to use the platform. If you do not agree or do not meet the age requirement, please do not use the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. All activities under your account are your responsibility. 3. User Content & Communications
By submitting catches, photos, and comments, you grant Open Fishing Cup a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute this content for any purpose related to operating, promoting, and improving the platform. You must only submit content you have the rights to share. As part of operating the service, Open Fishing Cup may send you transactional and informational emails (e.g., catch status updates, account notifications). Promotional and marketing emails are only sent if you have given separate, explicit consent (e.g., newsletter opt-in), which you can withdraw at any time. 4. Limitation of Liability
Open Fishing Cup is provided as-is without warranties. We work to the highest standards to protect your data, but we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to data loss resulting from hacking, malicious behavior, or service interruptions. This limitation does not affect mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable EU law.
5. Tournament Decisions
All decisions made by Open Fishing Cup regarding tournament rules, accepted catches, and awarded prizes are final within the context of the platform. Platform administrators act as the final authority on competition-related matters. This does not affect your statutory rights under applicable law. You retain the right to seek legal remedies through the competent courts if you believe your rights have been violated.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may terminate your account before the effective date.
7. Automated Processing & AI
Open Fishing Cup uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence (AI), to process your submissions. This includes species detection, photo authenticity verification, measuring scale detection, and length verification. Automated decisions may result in a catch being approved, flagged for manual review, or rejected. You can always request a manual review of automated decisions by flagging a catch or contacting support. 8. Account Termination & Data Deletion
You may terminate your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law (GDPR Art. 17 — Right to Erasure). Open Fishing Cup reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or breach competition rules. In such cases, you will be notified of the reason for suspension or termination.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Linz, Austria. This choice of law and jurisdiction does not deprive you of the protection afforded by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the law of your habitual residence (EU Regulation 593/2008, Art. 6). If you are a consumer within the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
